We are happy to suggest which brocantes to visit during your stay and there are a selection of lovely local restaurants near us for your lunches and dinners. Don't forget that we serve a gorgeous locally sourced breakfast each day of your stay with great coffee and teas. we can cater for gluten free or lactose free if you mention this in advance.
Why not visit a few beautiful french towns and villages while you are? There is the stunning abbey set into the cliff at Brantome next to the river or the friday markets at Riberac. Try swimming in the river and lunching in the market square at aubeterre sur dronne or visiting the vineyards and cognac houses in Cognac - great restaurants there too.
Stand on the ramparts of Angouleme admiring the view after a great lunch or hop on the fast train for a day out in Bordeaux - only 30 minutes with new trains. Make sure to book your train tickets well in advance for the best pricing.
Maybe go further afield? Ile de Re or La Rochelle are an easy drive for a day at the sea side and a plats de fruite de mer or down to the wine country of Bergerac for a tasting or too. Maybe even the night markets near Javelhac or the food markets of Piegut Pluviers.
