The private suite at Montaurand is a favourite destination for guests attending weddings at Chateau de la Couronne in Marthon.
We are only 15 minutes drive away from this beautiful location (that once hosted brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for a summer) so it will be easy for you to attend your family/friend's wedding and then come back to us to recuperate in the silent tranquility of Montaurand.
It is always best to have a car as there is no UBER on her in the deep countryside and the local french taxis are very hit and miss. So it is better to do things under your own steam.
There are weddings most weekend at La Couronne in the picturesque village of Marthon, so it pays to book early at Montaurand to guarantee yourself somewhere beautiful to stay.
Of course there is also the famous Montaurand local produce breakfast with our own organic eggs from our crazy hens in a style of your choice and crunchy french bread with lashings of organic apricot jam.
Lovely local cheeses too ( chevre, Comte, brebis and more) and we can cater for lactose or gluten free requirements as long as you let us know in advance. Don't forget the great coffee too!
In season we have figs, cherries, pears and apples from our organic orchard and fresh organic rasberries, greengages, plumbs and strawberries too. Its a cornucopia of goodness to kickstart your day.
If you want a break from the wedding activities, ther are some lovely local restaurants to choose from like our friend Natalie's La Locavore in Rochebeaucourt which serves wonderful homemade local sourced lunches and dinners between march and november. She has a lovely garden for al fresco dining and a great selection of BIO and local wines to choose from as well as a range of interesting artisan beers.
She caters for vegetarians with lovely choices as well wonderful meat based dishes and you can order a special tasting menu if you book it in advance which is sensational.
